someone staring at me from a distance
So complete he was,with every part intact.
I don't know why he smiled at me,
a strange look he had.
I had a thousand questions,
but my lips could not move.
Slowly, he came near me,
and asked me for my hand.
He expected me to talk,
I wish he knew I couldn't.
He did the same everyday,
hard to believe it was.
I wish I could tell him,
I am not the one.
Not as complete as he is,
not the one he deserves.
I stood there like a clay pigeon,
with a desire to fly,
Helpless I was.
It was ripping me apart,
sleepless nights and restless days.
Until one day, he came to me and said,
"I KNOW IT ALL,
AND SOMETIMES, YOU JUST DON'T NEED TO SAY IT"
he wiped my tears and held my hand,
and whispered in my ears,
"YOU MAKE ME COMPLETE"
Years passed,
I found myself,
my entity, my identity.
I felt stronger, I felt empowered.
With him, understanding did it all.
Sometimes, you need a person,
who does not make you feel less,
but brings in you,
the strength, the confidence.
And lets you believe,
that, 'YOU ARE WORTH IT"
